The foundation is planting 20,000,000 fruit trees in various communities in Uganda. Uganda having lost 13% of its forest cover and seeing that the effects of climate change are affecting us and mainly the children. Front Aid foundation started a campaign of planting 20,000,000 fruit tree in 4 years. The campaign started on 9th May 2022. Down the year we have planted 5,000,000 in various places of Uganda.
We plant these trees with children, we want them to learn the importance of having trees and we show them how to take care of these trees. Once these trees have grown, children will feed on them to get vitamin C, house holds can sell them to increase house income, these trees will improve on the climate as well since they act as wind and landslides brakers.
On the 9th of May 2022, a heartfelt campaign was initiated to sow the seeds of hope by planting 20,000,000 fruit trees, a noble endeavor aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change. The inaugural tree was tenderly planted at our shelter for orphans, symbolizing the care and dedication behind this initiative. Later that day, 2345 trees found their new home, spreading their roots across 8 acres of land in Kalule Buwambo, standing as a testament to our commitment to a greener, healthier future.
